RAD RYE

Surfers and entertainers, our clients were excited to expand the footprint of their home to create the dreamiest primary suite that always invites you to go outside. Sunlit rooms and clean lines and a laid back vibe were pillars of this design.

From their private entrance off their patio into the bedroom, to the spa-worthy bathroom this addition packed a lot of punch in a small footprint. It was really important to our client to make sure that they were always bring in natural light. In the ensuite office and walk in closet there are giant modern barn doors with frosted glass that not only give privacy when needed but also, lets the most gorgeous natural light in. The bathroom has one of the largest walk in showers that we’ve done to date with a massive centered rain shower to give our clients serious spa vibes.

On the exterior, the vertical slat siding is a great juxtaposition to the more traditional cedar shakes that are on the original structure. The goal was not to blend the two structures together so that you can't tell where old and new started and stopped but rather combine the two styles in a way that they played off one another. We carried the slat siding to the front of the home by the garage and front door to tie the two spaces together.
